Roderick was an officer in the Inland Revenue and in the 1880s lived with his wife and children Annie, Robert and Maggie in Usk Monmouthshire.
The family lived lastly in Dulwich, South London, England.
Maggie died in Battersea, Annie May (together with her lifelong friend Maud Bransome shown). brought up Illtydd's first child Dorothy, and in return Dorothy gave them (Annie & Maud) a home for their final 12 years in Beckenham and then Bromley, Kent
